Hoang Anh Gia Lai will not have its strongest squad entering Round 16 of V-League 2025/2026. The Mountain City team suffers a notable loss as midfielder Tran Thanh Son is absent due to suspension, having accumulated three yellow cards this season.

According to the tournament organizers' announcement, Thanh Son is among the players forced to miss Round 16 due to disciplinary suspension. The absence of this midfielder is considered a definite setback for HAGL, as the team needs points to improve its position on the standings.

In the 2025/2026 season, Tran Thanh Son is one of the players used quite regularly in HAGL's lineup. This midfielder has played 13 matches across all competitions and contributed significantly to the overall playstyle thanks to his energetic activity in the midfield area.

In the upcoming round, HAGL will face Da Nang in a match seen as a "reverse final" as both teams are directly competing in the relegation battle. Therefore, losing a familiar element in the lineup may somewhat affect the personnel plans of the Mountain City team.
