Van Su's Goal Ranked Among Top Group Stage Goals in Asian Cup

The goal scored by forward Ngan Thi Van Su in the match between the Vietnamese women's national football team and India has been selected among the top contenders for the best goal of the group stage in the 2026 Asian Cup.

"A shot into the top corner always delights spectators. Ngan Thi Van Su executed a superb strike, sending the ball beyond the reach of goalkeeper Panthoi Chanu and straight into the top corner of the net," this is AFC's description of Ngan Thi Van Su's goal.

Besides Ngan Thi Van Su, the other names featured in AFC's selection include Myong Yu Jong (North Korea), Wang Shuang (China), Park Soo Jeong (South Korea), Su Yu Hsuan (Taiwan), Yuzuki Yamamoto (Japan), Mun Eun Ju (South Korea), Sam Kerr (Australia), Dildora Nozimova (Uzbekistan), Manisha Kalyan (India).

Ngan Thi Van Su is also the only player from the Vietnamese women's national team to score at the 2026 Women's Asian Cup. This forward scored a double, helping the Vietnamese women's team defeat the Indian women's team in their opening match in Group C.
