Round 15 of V-League: Thrilling title race, CAHN suffers first defeat!

Round 15 of V-League witnessed a series of surprising results in both the title race and relegation battle. Notably, the top-ranked team CAHN officially ended their unbeaten streak after a 1-2 loss to Hanoi FC.

The focal point of Round 15 was the Capital "derby" between Hanoi FC and CAHN, with one side being the record holder of V-League with 6 championships, and the other being the strongest team of this season with an unbeaten record after 13 rounds.

Over 10,000 spectators packed Hang Day Stadium witnessed a truly lavish football feast as players from both teams delivered intense and fiery plays, fitting the nature of a derby.

In the fiery atmosphere of the derby, Hanoi FC demonstrated why they are the V-League record holders by leading Hanoi Police with a 2-0 score until stoppage time, and Leo Artur's penalty goal for a 1-2 only heightened the suspense at the end but could not prevent the victory for coach Harry Kewell and his team.

With this victory, although still ranked 4th, Hanoi FC narrowed the point gap with Ninh Bình above to just 4 points, while Hanoi Police, despite leading the standings and having one postponed match, now only leads by 4 points over The Cong Viettel, who secured a 3-1 victory away at Becamex Binh Duong's home ground.

This situation makes the championship race extremely unpredictable, as the point gap between teams is not too large, and the season still has 11 rounds remaining before the champion is determined.

Similar to the title race, the relegation battle in the lower half of the standings also saw extremely tense developments in recent rounds.

Round 15 also saw a strong breakthrough by SLNA, as the Nghe team secured their third consecutive victory, including two away wins, to climb into the mid-table group, temporarily distancing themselves from the danger zone.

Meanwhile, despite being away against the host Ninh Bình who were desperate for a win after three consecutive losses and a recent coaching change, SHB Da Nang forced Hoang Duc and his teammates to accept a draw at Ninh Bình Arena.

Four points earned in the last two matches are a noteworthy achievement for the efforts of the Han River team, and this result also reflects the reality that in this season, no team is unbeatable, and whether in the title race or relegation battle, opportunities remain open for all clubs until the final round.
