Malaysia's head coach urgently seeks 'reinforcements' ahead of the decisive match against Vietnam

Malaysia's head coach Peter Cklamovski is contemplating the addition of new personnel to the squad ahead of the crucial encounter with the Vietnam national team in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers on March 31.

The head coach of the Malaysian national team, Peter Cklamovski, is planning to bolster the squad's personnel before the pivotal match against the Vietnamese team in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers on March 31.

According to the schedule, the Malaysian national team will assemble from March 23, coinciding with the first day of the March FIFA Days. This period falls on the third or fourth day of the Hari Raya holiday, allowing players an extra two to three days off to spend time with their families before joining the national team.

Speaking to the media, Coach Cklamovski stated that players will still have domestic league matches over the weekend before the national team gathering. "The national championship matches take place on Saturday and Sunday, so the players will convene on March 23. This gives them a few days off during Hari Raya to be with their families, which is very important to me."

Malaysia will be the visiting team at Vietnam's Thien Truong Stadium in the final match of Group F in the Asian Cup qualifiers. This is considered a crucial showdown for Malaysia, compelling the coaching staff to prepare thoroughly in terms of personnel and tactics.

The Australian tactician also revealed he is closely monitoring the form of players in domestic competitions and may offer opportunities to new faces. "There will be some new players considered based on their form and readiness. It is important to create competition within the squad and give chances to those performing well."

Aside from personnel matters, Cklamovski emphasized the importance of upgrading football infrastructure in Malaysia. "If we can improve the facilities and pitches, the national team could train in different regions throughout the year. When players train and compete on better pitches every day, the quality of football will undoubtedly improve."
